[Side 2 of the C60 begins with "Chico Volando"]
Epiphone Drones + Casio Tones is a labor of 50% love and 50% soul; 100% $ free. Legal limits of sound duplication and rearrangement were not considered in the making of this album. Although much of the record is purely original instrumental and vocal sound, there are many cross-references communicated through the use of samples-- most notably various poetry, 70's R&B, children's records, an obscure early 80's NY-based rock musician and a list of many other sample sources too long to fit in this introduction. While the idea of a completely free debut album was appealing to begin with, the legal risks involving the distribution of sampled music was added incentive to restrict any payment for ED+CT. If anyone stumbles upon this recording and is offended in any way by the use of samples, please let the artist know and the offending tracks will be taken down from this site.
"Epiphone Drones and Casio Tones" is designed for 60-minute cassette, although it was also available for digital download and CD. E-mail the artist for a physical copy on CD or Tape:
